Camera Error 99?
I just got a new-to-me-objective lens from a reputable dealer on ebay. They explained that the lens was broken in good condition, except the auto focus was that. I have lens on my Canon EOS 2000 K2 Canon Rebel XT camera mounted on each of this, if I do I get the shutter an incomplete closure Snap button. It is the same on all three cameras, with the exception of my digital was an ERROR 99, while the other does not. My cameras all work perfectly with myother lenses. Any idea what is wrong with the lens?
The first thing to do is clean the contacts on the lens with an eraser. If any of these Contacts may be dirty, it can cause the error you are experiencing. If this should not work, you will send the lens to get it serviced.
